Manufacturing Management Development Program

The manufacturing management development program is a two-year rotational development program designed to develop future manufacturing leaders. The purpose is to create individuals well rounded in all aspects of our business.

The program consists of four rotating job assignments of six months each, plus extensive training courses and seminars.

The first year is spent at our group headquarters in Towson, Maryland, with assignments in two of the following areas:

  • Development Engineering 
  • Purchasing 
  • Manufacturing Support 
  • Quality 
  • Manufacturing Strategy 
  • Logistics 
  • Adv. Mfg. Eng: Motors, Plastics, Assembly, Or Steel Machining.

The Second Year will be Spent in a Manufacturing Plant in:  

  • Fayetteville, North Carolina 
  • Reynosa, Mexico 
  • Shelbyville, Kentucky 
  • Waynesboro,Georgia 
  • Dennison, Texas 
  • Bristow, Oklahoma 
  • Tampa, Florida 
  • Hampstead, Maryland 
  • Pacoima, California

With Assignments in Two of the Following Areas:  

  • Process Engineering 
  • Production Engineering 
  • Materials 
  • Group Leader / Production Supervisor 
  • Industrial Engineering 
  • Quality Improvement Engineering 
  • New Products / Manufacturing Engineering

Following successful completion of the program the candidate will be eligible for consideration for any open positions in Black & Decker, Kwikset, or Price Pfister worldwide.
