- All Black & Decker fulltime and regular
part-time employees are eligible to participate.
- A new hire can start contributing as soon as T.
Rowe Price has been notified that they are under the employ of Black
& Decker (within a few weeks of hire date).
- They can contribute up to 25% of their pay.
- After their one-year anniversary with Black & Decker, the
company automatically starts matching, if the employee is contributing.
If the employee has not already contributed, but starts anytime after
their year anniversary with Black & Decker, then the matching begins
at that point. Company match is 50 cents per employee dollar contributed
up to the first 6% of employee’s contribution.
Vacation
- Beginning with 3rd month of employment, accrue
one day a month during first year (i.e. Hire month: January; start
accruing in March = 10 days by end of December)
- 2 weeks of vacation after the first year
Tuition assistance
- Job related courses
- Manager approval
- Accredited schools
- Reimbursed for expenses based on obtaining a passing grade (B or
better) for Master’s level courses

Relocation
- A new hire is entitled to a 4-day, 3-night
house-hunting trip. Expenses reimbursed with proper documentation.
- For new hires relocating to another area, Black
& Decker does not pay for lease breakage.
- For new hires moving between 50 and 500 miles,
Black & Decker will pay for a rental truck during the move.
- For new hires moving 500 miles or more, Black
& Decker will pay for the use of a van line during the move.
- A five-day direct move is allocated for the new
hire to relocate.
